1992 Kennedy Half Dollar

The 1992 Kennedy Half Dollars saw a new addition to the standard versions of the coins that had been issued. The new coin was the 1992-S Silver Proof Kennedy Half Dollar, which was included in the US Mint’s Silver Proof Set. This new set included 90% silver proof versions of the half dollar, quarter, and dime.

The US Mint continued to issue the regular clad proof coins in a separate set. The Philadelphia and Denver Mints also produced coins for circulation. For the following years, theĀ  proof, silver proof, and two circulation strike issues would form the standard releases for the series.
