1974 Kennedy Half Dollar

The 1974 Kennedy Half Dollar was the last issue before a brief design change for the series. To celebrate the Bicentennial, the reverse designs of the one dollar, half dollar, and quarter dollar coins were changed for 1976. There were no Kennedy Half Dollars produced in 1975 as the US Mint prepared for the design change and increased production of the following years.
