1972 Kennedy Half Dollar

The 1972 Kennedy Half Dollar was the second year issued in the copper clad composition. Mintages remained relatively high with nearly 300 million coins produced across both the Philadelphia and Denver mints. Proof coins were minted in San Francisco and included in the US Mint’s annual proof set.
