1969 Kennedy Half Dollar

The 1969 Kennedy Half Dollar was struck in silver clad, with a composition of 40% silver. For a second year, circulating coin production for this denomination took place at the Denver Mint only. The US Mint also produced and released proof sets for collectors. The 1969 Proof Kennedy Half Dollar was minted at the San Francisco Mint and carried the “S” mint mark.
