1967 Kennedy Half Dollar
The 1967 Kennedy Half Dollar was another year struck with a composition of 40% silver. The mintage marked the highest number for any of the circulating silver or silver clad Kennedy Halves. Special mint set coins were issued for a final year. Regular proof coins would return the following year. The so called “SMS” Kennedy Half Dollars displaying cameo contrast are most common for this year as compared to others.
